Creativity Pays Off Every Time

Every season tis the season to be creative at GAC! Even when it comes to internal projects like developing a holiday card for our clients every year, creativity is top of mind.

Research starts early and rough concepts are kicked about all year long. The winners are often out-of-the box ideas that involve a unique material and obscure processes upon which GAC puts it’s own special spin.

No matter the substrate, the message is always about gratefulness and the payoff sought is smiles and good cheer. But one year the payoff proved to be a tiny bit more.

For the 2016 holiday season, the GAC “card” was old-style, black and gold California license plate. Seriously, a real license plate only customized with a holiday message and a current DMV sticker. Also included in the brown craft envelope, was a holiday message in the format of a DMV Registration Form expressing the best wishes of the season “pursuant to the California Vehicle Code Sections 9552-9554.”

Turns out it was a hit and the pay back was heaps of smiles and plenty of good cheer. In addition, and as a pleasant surprise, it generated new business! Looking back it simply reinforced what we already knew deep down. It’s always best to give 110% in all aspects of everything you do…creative or otherwise.
