The DG-Spec Team (with the support of its parent GAC agency) has innovated numerous original productions, like the unrivaled Autos 101 Program. This bespoke production has been produced for several years now at Toyota Headquarters in Plano, Texas. Bustling with activity, nearly 400 attendees from Toyota and Lexus populated ten waves during the latest 2023 Program.
Each Autos 101 session kicked off with a detailed classroom segment that laid out the foundation for the course. Learning the fundamentals of vehicle engineering and discussing how cost/benefit decisions are reached just scratched the surface of the curriculum. The DG-Spec facilitators also presented the latest in future technologies and thoughts on the direction the automotive industry is headed. This included assessment and strategy development that the industry has been focused on with regard to electrification, and how it affects Toyota, the company directives, and its staff. Essential automotive basics, the opportunity to ask questions and, provocative, insightful commentary made the classroom a benefit for all.
After the classroom presentation, DG-Spec facilitators divided the class into four smaller groups that rotated through a series of modules in the Toyota High Bay.
Each bay was staffed with a friendly DG-Spec expert and set up to focus on a specific topic. Attendees were able to see and touch the parts and systems, which really connected the dots from the classroom session.
