How do you tell Toyota’s innovation story to the world’s automotive media in just four days?
For more than fifteen years, Gardner Automotive Communications has served as a trusted creative, production and event management partner for Toyota at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show—the automotive industry's premier showcase for innovation, customization and enthusiast culture.
As Toyota's presence at SEMA has grown, so has GAC's role. What began as production support has evolved into a comprehensive partnership spanning creative development, event management, media engagement, executive presentations, content production and press communications—helping bring Toyota's vision to life for media, industry leaders and enthusiasts from around the world.

In 2025, Toyota once again occupied the largest exhibit on the SEMA show floor, unveiling its "Powered by Possibility" theme across more than 20,000 square feet of immersive displays featuring over two dozen vehicles. The exhibit celebrated Toyota's multi-pathway approach to mobility, showcasing everything from GR performance vehicles and rugged overlanding concepts to hybrid, battery electric and hydrogen-powered innovations.
GAC supported nearly every aspect of Toyota's SEMA communications effort, producing product video content, executive presentations, photography, editorial materials, media relations, press releases and comprehensive digital press assets. The team also managed Toyota's exclusive media preview event before the show and produced the opening-day Build Walkaround hosted by Rutledge Wood, featuring Toyota engineers, designers and special guests who provided behind-the-scenes insight into the vehicles and technologies on display.

The 2025 Toyota display featured 25 vehicles, including seven one-of-a-kind concept and specialty builds that captured significant industry attention. Highlights included the Scion 01 Concept, Tacoma H2 Overlander Concept, Turbo Trail Cruiser and the bZ Time Attack Concept, each illustrating Toyota's commitment to performance, innovation and customer choice.
The event generated exceptional media results, delivering more than 1.15 billion global impressions, a 15% increase in traditional media reach, a 150% increase in social media reach, and coverage across leading automotive, enthusiast and lifestyle publications worldwide.
For GAC, SEMA represents more than an annual auto show. It is the culmination of year-round collaboration with Toyota—transforming complex engineering stories into compelling experiences, creating meaningful engagement with the automotive media, and producing one of the industry's most recognizable and influential manufacturer exhibits year after year.
